SYLVIA GALBRAITH started Silver Creek Photography in 1985. Located in downtown Fergus (Centre Wellington), ON, Silver Creek Photography is central to Elora, Guelph, Orangeville, Kitchener-Waterloo and the Toronto area, and offers a variety of services for individuals, as well as small businesses and medium to large corporations.  These include industrial and commercial photography, editorial, portraiture, and more.

The Silver Creek Photography commercial client list is long and varied, and includes international corporations, national publications and governments of all levels.  Galbraith’s editorial photographs have been published worldwide and her candid portraiture reflects her years of news photography experience.  Galbraith also specializes in construction photography, and works for architects, builders, and the aggregate industry.  She supplies stock images for editorial use in publishing or advertising for clients all over the world, and provides art prints for business and individual clients.

Galbraith has achieved an international reputation as an equine photographer.  Her clients include national equine publications, breeding and racing stables, and individual horse owners. She maintains a library of images available for use in posters, editorial publications and advertisements for the horse industry, and photographs all equine disciplines, including eventing, reining, barrel racing, dressage, jumping and driving competitions.

Drawing from an educational background in the arts and her personal work as a fine art photographer, Galbraith provides high quality photographs for artists and designers, suitable for portfolios, grant applications, or for reproduction purposes, and works with interior designers, sculptors, glass artists and others.

After more than thirty-five years working as a full time professional photographer, Galbraith shares her passion for photography through teaching, both in-person from her Fergus studio as well as online, and has spent many years as an Associate Professor of Photography for Conestoga College in Kitchener, ON.  She has also taught for the University of Toronto, University of Brandon, MB, Humber College, and as a guest instructor at venues throughout Canada.
